Gather the family to hail the arrival of Santa and the official start to the holiday season in West Linn with the 10th annual community tree lighting ceremony set for Dec. 2.
Festivities begin at 6 p.m. at the Cascade Summit Town Square with the talented performers from Radio Disney and Van De Veere Productions?joining the tradition of the West Linn Community Chorus. The merchants will offer in-store specials and Starbucks will be giving out delicious peppermint hot chocolate to ward off the cold. After the arrival of Santa, come inside City Hall for a visit and photos. Upstairs, decorate ornaments with staff from Dragon Fly Gifts or decorate cookies with the Old Time Fair Court. Kids will also enjoy popcorn and a holiday movie. ?
Rides on the ?Cascade Summit Express,? the holiday train, will be available for $1.
